ISABELLA OLIVER TEAMS UP WITH THE HEART TRUTH’S RED DRESS COLLECTION 2010 FOR A GOOD CAUSE

Isabella Oliver and The Heart Truth® will go “behind the seams” on the opening night of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week to remind women that the truth isn’t always pretty—more women die of heart disease than any other disease. More than 20 of today’s celebrities will walk the runway in red dresses created by top designers for a once-in-a lifetime experience.

Isabella Oliver was established six years ago in London by founder and designer Baukjen de Swaan Arons. She set out to launch a maternity collection to fill a void in that market with a vision that makes women feel stylish and comfortable at the same time. With the success of the maternity line, her loyal following began requesting a non-maternity collection. The demand became overwhelming, and as a result in February, 2009 Isabella Oliver Maternity was joined by the launch of the company’s first non-maternity collection, Isabella Oliver 365. Isabella Oliver designs with the busy modern woman’s lifestyle in mind. Baukjen’s passion is to create classic, contemporary and effortlessly chic essentials for today’s stylish yet multi-tasking woman.

The Heart Truth is a national awareness campaign for women and about heart disease sponsored by the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI), part of the national Institutes of Health, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). The Red Dress®, introduced by the NHLBI in 2002, is the national symbol for women and heart disease awareness.

Isabella Oliver (www.isabellaoliver.com) has joined this cause and throughout the month February, 20% of proceeds from the sales of any RED design item. Proceeds will benefit the Foundation for National Institutes of Health on behalf ofThe Heart Truth in support of women’s heart health education and research. For the second consecutive year, The Heart Truth, through a partnership with Clothes Off Our Back, will auction a selection of designer dresses worn by celebrities in the Red Dress Collection fashion shows at www.clothesoffourback.org.

"Real Housewives of New York City" star Bethenny Frankel wore Isabella Oliver “Ruched One Should Dress” in red from the Spring/Summer 2010 collection to the Red Dress Collection 2010 Show at New York Fashion Week.
